(February 7, 2006) Over the past year, the SEAT Center has increased the number of teachers who have received assistive technology (AT) training. Through its partnership with Infinitec, a program committed to advancing independence and promoting inclusive opportunities for children and adults with disabilities through technology, and other groups, teachers across the country and in Thailand have received AT training. Building on its institutional commitment to provide AT training to all education majors, more than 5,300 students were served in 2006 through coursework, student teaching support, ITPS-9 implementation, and open lab hours. Learn the specific accomplishments of the SEAT Center in its 2006 Annual Report (pdf). Additional information regarding their work with Infinitec can be found in the 2006 Infinitec Final Report of Partnership Activities (pdf).
