(November 5, 2007) The Center for Reading and Literacy at Illinois State University hosted its annual Policy Forum on literacy on Friday, October 19, 2007. This year’s forum was a working session. Participants worked on policy briefs on Teacher Education, Research, Accountability and Advocacy.
The forum brought together teachers, administrators, representatives of business, researchers and community activist from across Illinois to examine the state of literacy teaching and learning in schools, and to share ideas on how all stakeholder can work together to support literacy teaching and learning in our schools and communities.
