(December 3, 2007) Illinois State University was selected by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District V, “Pride of District V” award for the newly released Professional Development School video. The video won a silver award in the best video/DVD/CD-ROM for student recruitment category. The Pride of CASE V Awards Program honors institutions and individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the concept and execution of advancement programs and communications. The award will be presented in December at the CASE District V annual conference.

Professional Development Schools (PDS) are collaborative partnerships between Illinois State teacher education programs and a number of schools or school districts throughout Illinois that offers senior early childhood, elementary, middle level, and secondary education students at Illinois State University a year long experience in a public school that replaces the 16-week student teaching semester. Learn more about the PDS program and view the video.
