Benefits available for legacy students

The Illinois State University Alumni Association is pleased to offer an opportunity for dependent children of Illinois State graduates who live outside Illinois to attend the University at in-state tuition rates.

A limited number of nonresident legacy student tuition waivers will be awarded to selected students for the 2008-2009 academic year. Application is required by March 3. To be eligible, students must be new to Illinois State in the fall of 2008, enrolled as either a freshmen or transfer student. They must also plan to enroll as a full time student, meet minimum university admission requirements, apply to the University by the established admission deadline, be a dependent child of a graduate of Illinois State who is an active member of the Alumni Association and live outside the state of Illinois.

Tuition waivers are provided by the Alumni Association to assist the University in recruiting quality prospective students, to provide an additional benefit to active alumni and to foster continuing relationships between alumni and their alma mater. Additional information is available online at Scholarships or by e-mailing Shanay Huerta.
