Thomas Metcalf School was selected as one of the winning schools in the 2010 UNDERCOVER Bicycle Helmet Program sponsored by the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
As a grant recipient, this year Metcalf will be awarded bike helmets for every student in grades K-5. Students will be measured for the helmets, then they will be delivered to the school. There will be a bike safety presentation before the helmets are distributed. We will receive more information in the next two weeks.
