Career Week sessions scheduled

The Illinois State Career Center invites alumni and students to participate in Career Week, September 17–23. This special week includes a series of workshops and resume critiques conducted by employers from a variety of industries to prepare alumni in pursuit of a full-time job.

Career Week events are held on campus in the Career Center, room 185 of the Student Services Building. Workshop sessions will be videotaped and shared on the University YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/ISUtube1857) when available.

Friday, September 17

  • Noon–1 p.m.—Intern Yourself into a Career
    Presented by Career Center staff and student interns
  • 1–4 p.m.—Employer Resume Critiques
    Participating employers include Target, Sherwin-Williams, State Farm Insurance Companies, Caterpillar, COUNTRY Financial, and College Pro

Monday, September 20

  • 4–4:45 p.m.—10 Ways to Get Your Resume and Cover Letter Ignored
    Presented by Enterprise Rent-A-Car
  • 4:45–6 p.m.—Last Minute Resume Critiques

Tuesday, September 21

  • 4–4:45 p.m.—Self-Marketing: Building Your Personal Brand
