The Redbird football team will have six home dates in 2010, a first since 2005. Several events have been planned as part of the action at Hancock Stadium.

ISU opens the season September 2 against Central Missouri. The 6:30 p.m. game will include halftime fireworks. CommUniversity will be held September 25, as the Redbirds take on Missouri State at 6 p.m. There will be approximately 50 tents with activities for all ages.

Following the October 2 game against Southern Illinois, the Redbirds will host North Dakota State at 2 p.m. on October 16 for Homecoming. For more information about all the Illinois State Homecoming activities, please click here.

Annual Family Day is set for the November 6 game against Youngstown State, while the regular-season finale against Eastern Illinois on November 13 is Faculty and Staff Day and Kids’ Day.

Also just announced, Illinois State football and men’s basketball game broadcasts will return to the Decatur air waves for the first time in nearly a decade, as Redbird Athletics and WDZ-AM 1050 “The Fan” signed a partnership adding the Neuhoff Media station as an affiliate of the Redbird Radio Network.

WDZ will carry select Illinois State football games and the majority of the Redbird men’s basketball season.  A final broadcast schedule will be issued at a later date.
