The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America Hot Brass will perform in concert at Illinois State University’s Braden Auditorium on Sunday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. The show will be presented by the Bone Student Center.

Free tickets for the event will be available starting Oct. 5 and can be obtained at the Braden Box Office, the Info Centre Desk on the first floor concourse in the Bone Student Center, or by emailing the Bone Student Center at Special accommodations are available by calling the Braden Box Office at (309) 438-5444.

The band plays a blend of rock, funk, jazz, blues, soul, swing and country, as well as the latest pop hits. Hot Brass defies conventional definition by thriving on diversity and creating a musical gumbo of genres to exploit each musician’s musical background. This ten-piece group utilizes vocals, drums and guitar to entice audiences to move their feet while also paying tribute to their brass roots: front-line tuba functioning in lieu of electric bass, a “beefed-up” horn section, and heavy emphasis on brass.
