Illinois State University’s Faculty Brass Quintet will perform Bach, Bernstein and blues in a concert on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. The event is part of the School of Music’s Charles W. Bolen Faculty Recital Series. General admission is $8, $7 for faculty and staff and $6 for students and senior citizens.

The ensemble will perform Contrapunctus 1 by Johann Sebastian Bach, Morning Music by David Sampson, Leonard Bernstein’s Dance Suite, Brass Quintet No. 2 “Mosaics” by Anthony Plog and an interpretation of The Royal Garden Blues by the New Orleans Rhythm Kings.

The Faculty Brass Quintet is comprised of Amy Gilreath, trumpet, Greg Bechtold, trumpet, Libby Jones, horn, Mark Babbitt, trombone, and Andy Rummel, tuba.
