Fine Arts group plans Chicago trip

Friends of the Arts is the official volunteer support group for the University’s College of Fine Arts. The group also sponsors great arts activities, both on- and off-campus. One upcoming event is a trip to Chicago on December 12 to see alumnus Gene Weygandt ’74 play the Wizard in the hit musical Wicked at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.

Weygand will meet with the group following the show. Dinner will be served at Petterino’s restaurant before the bus returns to campus. Tickets are available at, where details of the trip can be found.

Friends of the Arts contributes more than $30,000 a year in scholarships and grants to ISU students within the college. Its mission is to support students, and to increase awareness and appreciation of the art at ISU.
