Miller and Shallabarger’s Alone Together will run until Sunday, Feb. 13, in Galleries 2.5 and 3.

School of Art alumni Dutes Miller and Stan Shellabarger are a husband and husband artist team whose performance-sculpture and book art document the bittersweet rhythms of human relationships. The exhibition includes documentation of an ongoing project, Untitled (Pink Tube).

Miller and Shellabarger are recipients of the Peter S. Reed Foundation Grant, an Artadia Award and a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award. Their work is in the collections of the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and the National Gallery of Canada in Ontario. They showed a major selection of work at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Portland, Maine and participated in the Time-Based Arts (TBA) festival in Portland, Ore. Their work has been written about in Artforum.com, Art & Auction, Frieze, Artnet, The Art Newspaper, Flash Art, TimeOut Chicago, and the Chicago Sun-Times.

University Galleries hours are noon to 4 p.m. Saturday through Monday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
