Illinois State University’s Board of Trustees today approved the academic plan and the Board meeting calendar.

The Illinois State University Academic Plan, 2011-2016, includes the University Mission Statement, Board of Trustees Vision Statement for 2014, college mission statements and objectives, curriculum initiatives, Educating Illinois 2008-2014: Priorities for Illinois’ First Public University and summaries for the 2010-11 program reviews.

The academic plan lists institutional priorities, including the feasibility of a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, a doctor of nursing practice, an off-campus MBA program in Chicago and an off-campus master’s degree in communication in South Korea.

The 2012 meeting calendar for the Board of Trustees includes Feb. 17, May 11, July 27, Oct. 26 and Nov. 7-9.
