Join the men of ISU’s Eta Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. during Homecoming as they celebrate 40 years of service to the campus and Bloomington/Normal communities. Eta Tau Chapter was established as a college chapter at Illinois State University on October 9, 1971. It was the first black fraternity chartered at the University. Since then more than 200 have been initiated into the fraternity.

Events include an Old School Party from 8–11:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14, at the Alumni Center. Fraternity alumni and other alums are welcome. Cost is $15 at the door. The alumni brothers of Nu Psi Lambda will be hosting an Alpha Phi Alpha tailgate party on Saturday, October 15, at Hancock Stadium.

A banquet will be held on Saturday evening from 6–9 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Prairie Room. The cost is $50 per person, tickets will not be sold at the door. The event will raise funds for the William Townes Scholarship and recognize contributions of the college chapter and the alumni chapter in the Bloomington/Normal area.
