Cyber security and Internet safety will be the topics of discussion as Illinois State University hosts the Cyber Citizen Forum on Thursday, September 8, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room. The forum, part of the Department of Homeland Security’s Stop.Think.Connect. campaign, will address four critical issues facing Americans online: cyber bullying, cyber predators, identity theft, and fraud and phishing. The forum is free and open to the public.

The event at Illinois State University is part of the Stop.Think.Connect. campaign’s nationwide fall Forums Tour. The program will bring together industry professionals, Illinois State faculty and students and community leaders to highlight the issue of cyber security and prompt action and collaboration to increase Internet safety.

The event is sponsored by Illinois State’s School of Information Technology. For more information call 438-8338.
