The Miller Park Zoo, Children’s Discovery Museum, Pepsi Ice Center, and Rader Family Farms will be hosting special events for alumni and friends in conjunction with Illinois State’s Homecoming celebration.
Reggie Day at the Children’s Discovery Museum will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 8. This event will feature kid activities, ISU Homecoming giveaways, and opportunities for children to interact with Reggie Redbird. Cost is $6 per person for ages 2 and above. Children under the age of 2 are free.
Reggie Day at Miller Park Zoo is set from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, October 10. Join Reggie Redbird and learn about fun animal facts during a zoo tour. The Normal Story Teller, Mike Lockett, will be on hand to present a story to guests. Cost is $3.50 per person ages 3–12, and 60 and up. Adults ages 13–59 are $5 each. Children under the age of 3 are free.
On Friday, October 14, the Pepsi Ice Center in Bloomington will host a special ISU Homecoming Skate from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear ISU gear to save $1 off the $5 cost to participate in the open skate.
Rader Family Farms will host a ‘100 Years of Ag’ celebration October 15 and 16. Enjoy live music, family farm activities, and a 7-acre corn and bean maze with Reggie in the design. Reggie Redbird will make a special appearance on October 16. A coupon for $2 off the maze entrance fee is available on the Illinois State Homecoming website.
