The 2011 Alumni King and Queen and Homecoming Prince and Princess titles have been announced by the Alumni Association and Student Alumni Council. The royalty will participate in a variety of Homecoming activities on October 14 and 15.
Melba Jean (Zehr)’48, M.S. ’73, and Howard Frink ’50 of Normal were selected as the Alumni King and Queen. Melba Jean is a letter-winning Redbird basketball alumna and a retired teacher. Howard is retired from State Farm Insurance Companies. The Frinks are active supporters of Illinois State and members of the Half Century Club Steering Committee.
Brady Eckenstahler and Anna Kober were chosen to reign as Homecoming Prince and Princess. Brady is the son of Rachel (Stadelman) ’98 and Eric Eckenstahler ’00 of Lindenhurst. He is 4 years old. Anna is the daughter of Susan (Mulder) ’92 and Todd Kober ’97, M.S.’99, of Normal. She is 6 years old.
The student Homecoming court will be announced at the Homecoming Kickoff on Monday, October 10. The student king and queen will be crowned at the Hoopfest Basketball Exhibition on Friday, October 14. For additional Homecoming information, visit IllinoisStateHomecoming.com.
