Illinois State University celebrated the next step in preparing outstanding future nurses with the grand opening of the Mennonite College of Nursing Simulation Laboratory on September 19, hosted by President Al Bowman and the University Board of Trustees.

“As we formally dedicate the Nursing Simulation Laboratory, I want to thank the people and groups that worked long and hard to bring this facility to Illinois State University and Mennonite College of Nursing,” said Janet Wessel Krejci, dean of MCN. “This laboratory is a state-of-the-art teaching, learning, and research facility that will improve the already high quality of instruction and experiential learning for our nursing students.”

The new laboratory, located on the corner of Normal Avenue and Locust Street, provides students with technologically advanced assessment labs, classrooms, and patient simulation areas that will mimic real-world nursing situations.
