Cancun challenge passes still available
Illinois State alumni and fans who want to be a part of the 2011 Cancun Challenge still have an opportunity. While the Redbird men’s basketball team faces Rutgers and either Illinois or Richmond in a second game, fans can enjoy the luxury of the Moon Palace Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico.
The all-tournament pass costs $250 and provides general admission entry to all eight men’s basketball games played in Cancun. Individual session passes are also available for $80 per day for the Mayan Division, and $90 per day for the Riviera Division.

Suzi Davis Travel is offering two packages, the fan package and the land-only package. For $1,399 per person, based on double occupancy, fans receive air travel from Chicago O’Hare Airport. The flight with American Airlines is scheduled for 8:20 a.m. on November 20, with a 12:05 p.m. arrival in Cancun. The return flight leaves at 1:20 p.m., on November 24, arriving at Chicago O’Hare at 5:15 p.m. Flight times are subject to change.
In addition, guests receive admission and preferred seating to all men’s basketball games; transportation to and from the Cancun airport to the resort; admission to the tournament banquet; accommodations at the luxurious Moon Palace Resort; unlimited food and beverages, including alcohol; all taxes, tips, and gratuities; access to nonmotorized water sports; free use of other Palace Resorts in Cancun area; and up to $750 in resort credits good for spa, tours, and golf. The package does not include trip insurance, excess baggage charges, laundry, etc.
