Two Chicago-area business professionals and Illinois State University alumnae are the newest members of Illinois State University’s Finance, Insurance and Law Advisory Board. The board provides the Department of Finance, Insurance and Law with input on current business practices and standards and helps develop professional enrichment opportunities for students.

Dawn Forden, Aurora, is a vice president at Swiss Reinsurance America Corporation. Since joining Swiss Re, Forden has worked both in the United States and overseas, including several international projects through the company’s home office in Zurich, Switzerland and in the London insurance marketplace. Forden earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and insurance from Illinois State.

Michelle Rojo, Park Ridge, is a governance manager at Zurich North America’s global corporate business division, which provides property and casualty insurance to large global companies. In her position, Rojo works with compliance, risk management, internal control, finance and other assurance providers to manage business risk and meet Zurich’s internal control standards. Rojo earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State and an MBA from DePaul University.
