In support of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, Illinois State Athletics will present a Play4 Kay game at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, at Redbird Arena. The women’s basketball team will host Missouri Valley Conference rival Bradley.

Yow was a legendary basketball coach who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2009.

Cancer survivors are invited to participate in a special on-court halftime presentation. Participants can print off a form on GoRedbirds.com to RSVP for the halftime recognition. Those who pre-register will receive a confirmation in the mail, including two free tickets to the game and an invitation to a postgame reception with head coach Stephanie Glance in the Redbird Room.

To coincide with the event, Redbird Athletics is selling $1 tickets, in addition to having $1 hot dogs at the game. Other concession items will be on special. The Alamo II and COUNTRY Financial are sponsoring the sale of Nike T-shirts for $20 each, with all the proceeds benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. The same form that is being utilized for pre-registration of the halftime cancer survivor recognition can also be used for T-shirt orders.

The Play4 Kay game T-shirts will also be available for sale at the games leading up to February12, once they are received from Nike.

The registration and order forms can be returned to WBB Play4 Kay Game, Redbird Arena Campus Box 2660 Normal, IL 61761. Questions regarding the event can be directed to LB Nagle at lbnagle@IllinoisState.edu or by phone at (309) 438-3630.
