Position Descriptions:
The ITDP Intern will work in multi-discipline teams within Baxter’s Global Information Technology team and assist in performing various activities that will support the following functions:

  • Project Management
  • Business Analyst
  • Technical Specialist
    • e.g. Infrastructure, Networking, Architecture and Programming

The ITDP Internship will provide students with a range of unique experiences in corporate Information Technology to help shape them into future business leaders. In addition, the student will receive mentoring from his/her manager and teammates. The experience and mentoring will complement the students’ studies to prepare them for a successful IT career. ITDP interns who excel in the Internship Program will be considered for the IT Development Program or other full-time Information Technology positions.

The ITDP provides aspiring IT professionals with unique experiences that accelerate their business, technical and interpersonal skills development. Over the course of this three year rotational program, information technology professionals develop their careers through a series of three twelve-month assignments strategically designed to provide a well rounded view of Baxter’s business and technology competencies. Members ‘graduate’ with the confidence and skills required to build a successful and fulfilling IT career at Baxter.

Qualifications:

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology

  • Strong academic performance – Minimum GPA 3.2
  • Proven track record of simultaneously managing multiple projects
  • Demonstrates excellent skills in oral & written communication, organization, team dynamics and prioritization of tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
