The Illinois State University Police will present a free Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) self-defense workshop for female students, faculty and staff, Monday, June 18, through Thursday, June 21. The workshop will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. each evening. Visit the Rape Aggression Defense workshop site to register. The workshop location will be provided once participants are registered.
The RAD system provides women and young girls with an environment to nurture and develop positive skills, attitudes, belief in self and physical fitness. The three focuses are risk reduction, physical defense and dynamic simulation. It is structured as a women only course and taught by certified RAD instructors.
