Think you have a recipe that can win the stomachs of students at Illinois State? Enter Campus Dining’s 4th Annual Redbird Recipe Contest! Alumni and current students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit their favorite dish. This year parents of current Redbirds are also invited to participate.

Submit recipes online at from August 20 through September 7. Campus Dining’s culinary team will select finalists in two categories: main/side dish and sweet/desserts. The finalists’ recipes will be featured in dining centers during Homecoming.

Finalists will be selected based on uniqueness of the dish, its appeal to the campus community, and its ability to be produced in large quantities. Students and dining center guests will vote for their favorite in each category, and winners will receive a personalized token commemorating their win. Last year’s winners were Lynn Zipfel Venhaus ’76 and Kathy Brown ’89.
