Cecilia Suárez, an alum of the College of Fine Arts, will headline the Latino Cultural Dinner on October 29, 2012 at 5 p.m. in the Brown Ballroom.
Suárez is the first Spanish-speaking actress ever to be nominated for an International Emmy in the category for Best Actress for her performance in the HBO series Capadocia. During her headline presentation, she will discuss her time at Illinois State, how it helped prepare her for her career, show business in Mexico and what it took for her to break through there, and her latest projects– acting and otherwise.
