Students are reminded to be safe as they prepare to leave campus for fall and winter breaks.

Off-campus students should check with their landlord for specific instructions to follow when they will not be in their apartment for an extended period of time, such as setting the thermostat to a specific temperature. Students should be certain that all doors and windows are locked when they leave, and consider taking important valuables home with them such as iPads, laptops, and televisions. Students are discouraged from packing their car the night before they leave, as this creates easy access for items to be stolen.
