CAST inducts alums into Hall of Fame

The following alums were inducted into the College of Applied Science and Technology Hall of Fame: U.S. Army Col. Craig Osborne '89, left, Military Science; Stan Shingles '82, M.S. '88, Kinesiology and Recreation; Lance Rogers '91, Information Technology; Arlene Hosea '82, M.S. '84, Family and Consumer Sciences; William LaBounty, M.S. '74, Technology; and Doug Reeves '69, Agriculture. Also pictured is Dean Jeff Wood, far right. The following inductees were not in attendance: James Knodell '78, Criminal Justice Sciences, and Margaret Guidarelli '79, Health Sciences.

The College of Applied Science and Technology recognized some of its most successful alumni November 30 by inducting them into the college’s Hall of Fame.

This year’s event took place at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Uptown Normal. Inductees had a chance to catch up with faculty members at the reception. Dinner was served to inductees and their guests, followed by an induction ceremony. During the ceremony, department chairs and school directors spoke of the inductees’ accomplishments and successes.

The college’s 2013 Hall of Fame event will take place on Friday, November 22.
