The College of Education will accept scholarship applications from students for the 2013-2014 school year from March 1-31, 2013. Education majors and their families may learn more about individual scholarships by visiting education.illinoisstate.edu/scholarships.

Teacher education scholarships are made possible through the thoughtfulness and generosity of a growing number of donors and friends. This past fall, the College of Education awarded scholarships to 140 education majors, totaling approximately $312,538.

If you are interested in speaking with Illinois State about creating a scholarship, please contact Gail Lamb, senior director of development for the College of Education and University Laboratory Schools at (309) 438-2903, galamb@ilstu.edu.

HI Junior, thank you for your post. To find out which scholarships you are eligible for, please visit http://education.illinoisstate.edu/scholarships/. Outside of your demographic information and GPA, scholarships may ask for your background in volunteering, leadership or other activities outside the classroom. This may include the submission of a short essay, as well.

I hope this helps. If you still have any questions, feel free to contact me at tjnavic@ilstu.edu. Remember, the application period is March 1-31!
