During the upcoming spring break, many Illinois State students will be embarking on a five-day service trip to various cities across the U.S.

Alternative Spring Breaks (ASB) is a nationally recognized movement that provides students with an alternative way to spend their spring break—through service! Each weeklong trip is focused on a different social justice topic. Past trip themes have included environmental issues, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, and animal rights.

ISU students will participate in volunteer work during the day, and at night will reflect on what they learned alongside their peers. They have met with their teams throughout the semester to educate themselves on the areas they will be serving.
