Have you ever imagined owning a piece of art that may have been created by a well-known artist or celebrity? Then come to the Friends of the Arts’ sixth annual PostCard Art exhibit set for April 27, 2013, at Illinois State’s University Galleries.
You’re guaranteed to walk away with a piece of artwork. You won’t know who created your masterpiece until after you make your selection … and that’s what makes this event so unique.
How PostCard Art works:
- Look around.
- Place a dot next to the item you want to purchase. If more than one dot is near an item, then that item will be open for bidding!
- Just before bidding starts, double-check all your tagged items. If you are the only person who has tagged an item when open bidding begins, you must buy that item.
- Watch and bid!
The event is a fundraiser for College of Fine Arts students. Last year more than 200 pieces of art were donated and $19,000 was raised for student scholarships and grants.
The event also is an opportunity to meet and mingle with the arts community of Bloomington-Normal.
