Garden Party set for Illinois Shakespeare Festival opening, July 12

Illinois Shakespeare Festival at Ewing Manor

Illinois Shakespeare Festival at Ewing Manor.

Join us at 6 p.m. Friday, July 12, for a Garden Party on the grounds of Ewing Manor to celebrate the opening of the 36th season of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. Stay for the hilarious classic The Comedy of Errors, featuring a walk-on role, one-night only, by longtime friend of the arts Pat Grogg.

We are excited that Grogg’s leadership gift has sponsored an Equity actor, Illinois State alumnus Lindsay Smiling ’99, this summer.

Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres in Ewing’s beautiful Genevieve Green Gardens. Hear Fight Director Paul Dennhardt discuss and demonstrate fight choreography and techniques. Tickets are $25.

The Ewing Cultural Center is located at 1617 Emerson Street in Bloomington. For tickets, the festival schedule, and giving opportunities, visit www.thefestival.org.
