The College of Fine Arts at Illinois State University offers a wide range of fine arts programs for children and families:

Saturday Creative Drama

The Creative Drama program offers classes for kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade, and fourth through sixth grade on Saturdays at 11 a.m. (September 14, 21, 28, and October 5, 12). Students use imagination, senses, concentration, voice, and body to improvise from appropriate stories, legends, poems, and world events. Deadline is September 3 with limited spaces in each of the classes. The registration form is online.

Saturday Creative Arts

The Creative Arts program has classes for kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth and sixth grade, and seventh and eighth grade on Saturdays at 9 a.m. (September 14, 21, 28, and October 5, 12).  Students creatively express individual thoughts and ideas using a variety of art materials and processes, as well as learn about art and artists from various countries and cultures. Deadline is September 3 with limited spaces in each of the classes. The registration form is online.

The College of Fine Arts also offers opportunities through traditional music lessons, the String Project, and the Singing Redbirds, as well as the Illinois Shakespeare Festival.
