Shoppers at the Illinois State University Apparel Trunk Show on September 10 can browse the entire men’s and women’s collections and try on apparel, then place orders featuring their choice of embroidered logos, including the new Redbird Vintage logos. Orders can then be picked up on campus at Barnes and Noble Illinois State University Bookstore in Bone Student Center about two weeks later.

What: Illinois State University Apparel Trunk Show
When: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. September 10, 2013
Where: Bone Student Center, Circus Room

The success of Illinois State’s first-ever trunk show in February drove interest in a second one, said R.C. McBride, director of trademark and licensing for Illinois State. The September 10 event will feature several new items, including the vintage logos and a full selection of men’s apparel.

“We kept hearing from professionals that they wanted Redbird gear they could wear to the office, so we came up with the trunk show concept to meet that demand,” McBride said. “February’s show looked toward spring and summer, so there’ll be more of a focus on fall and winter attire this time.”

Shoppers can choose from shirts, sweaters, vests, casual wear, and other attire from Oxford Industries, known for such brands as Lilly Pulitzer and Tommy Bahama, as well as Nike and Adidas. There will also be select Redbird gift items available for purchase on-site.

And while you’re at the Bone Student Center, help celebrate the iconic building’s 40th anniversary and enjoy some free cake on the second-floor concourse from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. September 10.
