Welcome back! We hope you had a safe and restful Labor Day weekend.  Now it’s time to (metaphorically) roll-up our sleeves and get back to work!  This week, the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology will host it’s fall Open House from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 5).  You’ll get a chance to meet our staff, experience some of our new Micro Workshops, and load up on cookies. No RSVP needed; just come as you are, when you can!

This continues the exploration of ReggieNet with a closer look at the Discussion, Tests and Quizzes, and Assignment tools.  It requires completion of Part 1.  (Missed it?  You can sign up now for the next Introduction to ReggieNet in October).


Future Professors Professional Development Circle
Wednesday, September 4 — OR — Thursday, September 5 @ Noon to 12:50 p.m.

Designed specifically at graduate students, this series of meetings will you prepare for a career in the academy.  This semester will explore how an understanding of students’ learning habits can help make us better teachers.  Participants can come for either the Wednesday or Thursday session.  No advanced registration required.

Word 2010: Level 1 – Introduction
Wednesday, September 04 @ 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Get an overview of the word processing program’s basic tools. You will learn to create new documents, enter and edit text, and save files. This class is suitable for new Word 2010 users and those who are upgrading to Word 2010.

Excel 2010: Level 2
Thursday, September 5 @ 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Learn the basics of creating and modifying charts. Additionally, explore useful tools like filtering and pivot tables.
