The Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) visited campus November 14 for its annual budget overview meeting with Illinois State University.
President Timothy J. Flanagan and Vice Presidents Dan Layzell and Sheri Noren Everts, along with campus budget administrators, met with IBHE members on the Fiscal Year 2015 budget request. This is the first of many steps Illinois State’s budget request will go through before a final appropriation is determined in the spring legislative session.
Discussion centered on priorities and expected response to the request. The IBHE meets with each public university in Illinois in order to discuss operations and grants and capital budget requests, as well as provide the opportunity for the IBHE and public universities to discuss process and strategy for the upcoming fiscal year appropriation process.
