The student organization F.L.A.M.E. (Feminist Led Activist Movement to Empower) will show the documentary Until the Violence Stops at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in Schroeder Hall. The event is free.

V-Day: Until the Violence Stops is a 2003 documentary film directed by Abby Epstein. It follows events marking 2002 V-Day, a grassroots movement inspired by Eve Ensler’s 1996 play The Vagina Monologues. The film focuses on V-Day activities in the United States, Kenya, Croatia and the Philippines.

V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raises money and revitalizes the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls. For more information, contact Women’s and Gender Studies at 438-2947.
