School administrators, superintendents, and other employers from the field of education will be in attendance to meet candidates in order to fill their full-time jobs. In addition, some employers may schedule interviews during the fair to be held immediately following the event or later in the day.
The fair is open to all Illinois State students (undergraduate and graduate students) from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Alumni may attend the fair between 11 a.m.–1 p.m. The fair is also open to students from other universities from noon–1 p.m., but a cost will be incurred.
Attendees should bring resumes and be ready for an on-the-spot interview. Attire is business professional. Illinois State students need to bring their student ID to the event for registration.
The Career Center is offering two sessions to help students prepare for the fair and their job search in education: How to Work the Education Career Fair and Networking Tips on February 18 and Hiring Tips for Education Majors on February 26. Both classes will be held in the Career Center in the Student Services Building.
