A note from Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Brent Paterson:

Dear Illinois State University students,

With the semester quickly drawing to a close and beautiful spring weather now here, this weekend will certainly be a time for fun and relaxation.

Being out and enjoying yourself also means being responsible and respectful. Many students have vented their frustration through social media about the cancellation of the Unofficial Leap Day event hosted by Leap Day Events LLC , which was scheduled for this weekend.

Displeasure about the cancellation of this event is not a reason to be disrespectful to the Town of Normal, town or personal property, or our ISU neighbors. If you choose to consume alcohol this weekend, please do so in a safe, legal and responsible way.

Please remember that your behavior is a reflection not only of you, but of Illinois State University.

Sincerely,

Brent Paterson
Interim Vice President for Student Affairs
