The College of Fine Arts at Illinois State University offers a wide range of fine arts programs for children and families:

Saturday Creative Drama

The Creative Drama program offers classes for children in kindergarten and first grade, second and third grades, and fourth through sixth grades at 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays: September 13, 20, and 27, and October 4 and 11. Students use imagination, senses, concentration, voice, and body to improvise from appropriate stories, legends, poems, and world events. The application deadline is September 5 with limited spaces in each of the classes. The registration form is online.

Saturday Creative Arts

The Creative Arts program has classes for children in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth and sixth grades, and seventh and eighth grades at 9 a.m. on the following Saturdays: September 13, 20, and 27, and October 4 and 11. Students creatively express individual thoughts and ideas using a variety of art materials and processes, as well as learn about art and artists from various countries and cultures. The College of Fine Arts also offers learning opportunities through traditional music lessons, the String Project, and the Singing Redbirds, as well as the Illinois Shakespeare Festival.
