Add some adventure to your life throughout the month of September with Campus Recreation. The Adventure program will be offering several opportunities to soak up the great outdoors or just learn a new skill with its semester lineup.

Our Stand Up Paddle Board Workshop on September 10 will introduce you to a new active skill that will help you look like an expert on your next trip to the beach. You will learn all the basics in the comfort of the Student Fitness Center pool. Register for this free workshop by noon September 9.

Next on the slate is our Picnic, Paddle, and Play, where we’ll head to Evergreen Lake for a fun afternoon of paddling on the water, fun games on the shore, and some great food with new friends. This trip is slated for 3–7 p.m. September 19 and is just $15 for students. Register by noon September 18. Equipment, transportation, lunch, and instruction are included.

Our next workshop on September 24 combines the balance work of stand-up paddle boarding with the strength and flexibility of yoga. Sign up for the free Paddleboard Yoga workshop by 4:30 p.m. September 19. No experience is necessary.

Our September adventures wrap up with the Giant City Climb and Hike September 26–28. Anyone can take advantage of this fun-filled weekend where we will be doing some outdoor rock climbing and hiking through a beautiful state park in Southern Illinois. The cost is just $85 for students; register by noon September 17. Food, transportation, instruction, and group gear are included.
