Illinois State University is now offering students a free subscription to Microsoft Office 365.

This subscription provides students no-cost access to a variety of Microsoft applications, including the opportunity to download and install the latest version of Microsoft Office for Windows and Mac for free. Through Office 365, students also receive one terabyte of cloud storage via OneDrive and access to online tools such as Office Online and Office on Demand.

Visit AT.IllinoisState.edu/Office365 for details. This website provides an overview of Office 365, describes features that are available to students, provides step-by-step instructions on logging in and using Office 365, and includes answers to frequently asked questions.

“Office 365 is a great new way for students to collaborate and learn. The software will allow students to access information from any location, offering more freedom and opportunities. We are excited to provide this new resource,” said Heather Slagell, interim director of Client Services in Administrative Technologies at Illinois State.

To get help with Office 365, students can contact the Technology Support Center at (309) 438-4357 or supportcenter@ilstu.edu. Help is also available through the TechZone and Student Technology department. Students can visit TechZone on the second floor of the Bone Student Center to get assistance in person.

Providing Office 365 to students is part of a larger project. In the coming year, Administrative Technologies is planning to move students, faculty, and staff to Office 365 for email and calendaring. At that time, faculty, and staff will get access to additional Office 365 features as well.
