Let the specialists at the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology help you prepare to teach this spring. Faculty Prep Week runs from January 5–9 at CTLT’s facility at 301 South Main Street.
Need some advice on your syllabus, some feedback on your teaching goals, or a quick introduction (or re-introduction) to ReggieNet? CTLT technology and instructional support staff members will be on hand all week for consultations. We’re here to help you with both pedagogical and technological questions. You can either email short questions to staff at CTLT@ilstu.edu, or you can call the front desk at (309) 438-2542 to set up a face-to-face, one-on-one consultation.
Team members will also hold “Getting Started with ReggieNet” workshops all week. These two-hour, hands-on sessions show you how to upload your syllabus and other course materials, set-up emails, and create assignments. You’ll also get a quick tour of ReggieNet’s online grade book function. Unlike other technology workshops offered by CTLT, no registration is required for Faculty Prep Week workshops—we only ask that you show up a few minutes early, since there’s a lot to cover! Workshops will be held at our facility at 301 South Main Street at the following times:
- Monday, January 5: 2–4 p.m.
- Tuesday, January 6: 10 a.m.–noon
- Thursday, January 8: Noon–2 p.m.
- Friday, January 9: 9–11 a.m.
Interested in using classroom clickers in your teaching this semester? You can also join us for a walk-in “Getting Started with Clickers” workshop on Friday, January 9 from 1–3 p.m.
