Attendees of the 2015 University-Wide Teaching & Learning Symposium, “Next Steps in Student Engagement,” can now hold the entire event in the palm of their hands! For the first time, the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology will offer a free, interactive mobile guide for the event.

The guide is one of the first to be launched through Illinois State University’s new guidebook app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. The digital guide for “Next Steps in Student Engagement” includes all of the features found in the printed booklet (which will still be available to attendees). It also gives users the ability to make customized schedules, sort presentation descriptions by track, do keyword searches, and connect with other attendees through Facebook or Twitter.

Users only need to download the guide once. The app updates content automatically every time a guide is opened and the device is online, so attendees will have the very latest information at their fingertips as they participate in the daylong event.

The 2015 University-Wide Teaching & Learning Symposium, which is free to attend, will be held January 7, 2015, at the Marriott Conference Center in Uptown Normal. It is the largest event dedicated to professional development for instructors on campus. The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology partners with several others: The 2015 University-Wide Teaching & Learning Symposium is sponsored by the Harold K. Sage Foundation and the Illinois State University Foundation Fund. It is also made possible through the generous support of the Office of the Provost and the Fell Trust.

If you need a special accommodation to fully participate in an event, please call the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology front desk at (309) 438-2542.
