Students from the School of Information Technology (IT) and the College of Business traveled to John Deere’s world headquarters in Moline to tour the corporate facilities and the Davenport Works plant (over 52-acres under one roof) as part of Business Week’s fall semester events.

Students met with John Deere leaders (and other Illinois State alums), toured and explored the new work environments being implemented throughout the corporate headquarters, and learned about career and internship opportunities with the Deere corporation and also the important role that agriculture innovation will play as the Earth’s population increases exponentially by the end of the decade.

The site day trip, including students from both IT and the College of Business, is part of a collaborative campuswide theme to market Business Week to all students across campus. Business Week begins February 23, 2015, and continues through the week. For a full listing of events, please visit Business.IllinoisState.edu/BusinessWeek.
