Illinois State football will see a crop of new faces next season as head coach Brock Spack and staff put together another successful recruiting class. A total of 22 student-athletes committed to the Redbirds to continue their collegiate and athletic careers at Illinois State.

The group of national letter of intent signees includes 13 players from Illinois, as well as players from Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan, Kansas, and Texas. The class is made up of four versatile athletes, four defensive backs, three defensive linemen, three offensive linemen, two linebackers, two quarterbacks and tight ends, one wide receiver, and one running back.

The Redbirds also added three transfer student-athletes in Stephen Amoako (defensive back, Oregon), David Kenney (defensive lineman, Indiana) and Reggie Spearman (linebacker, Iowa). All three transfers have enrolled in classes and will take the field with their teammates when spring practices begin in March.
