Harriett Steinbach will receive Academic Advising Advocate Award at Founders Day on Feb. 19.

Steinbach earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Eureka College and a master’s degree from Illinois State University in politics and government. She joined the Dean of Students Office in 2006 in the Leadership and Service Unit. She was awarded Staff Advisor of the Year by the alternative breaks national office, Break Away, in 2011.

In 2012, Steinbach assumed the position of coordinator for Student and Community Outreach. In September 2014, she was tasked with facilitating the merger of the Student and Community Outreach Unit and the Leadership and Service Unit.
