The faculty-staff newsletter Report has joined the system on campus, in an effort to ease the sharing of articles with department websites.

The publication has been part of Illinois State University for nearly 40 years, and online since 2005. The new look follows the online version of Report, while the content still focuses on the accomplishments and efforts of faculty and staff. Articles will be updated almost daily.

Below is a quick tutorial to the new look:

Campus and Research News
Campus and Research News will continue to cover administrative news, faculty and staff research as well as campus information. This section will include the Research and Honors column. Report writers will continue to welcome story ideas and submissions for Research and Honors at

While one event is highlighted on the main Report page, access to all events in Report can be found by clicking View more events beneath the main-page event.

Those who are posting events to the Stories system can request they be included in Report by emailing Any department or area is welcome to continue to submit information to Report writers for inclusion in Report and the Stories system.

Along the left-hand side, a list of the latest articles will appear, including campus and research news, events and Reactions. Events linked from other departments will navigate away from Report, and readers will need to use the back arrow to navigate back to Report.

In the News
In the News will highlight news on higher education – national, regional and local. The section will usually include the column ISU in the News, focusing on Illinois State and its faculty, staff and students appearing in the media.
