Craig Broadbent, an assistant professor of economics at Illinois Wesleyan University, will present Water Leasing Markets Using Futures Contracts to Address Seasonal Uncertainty at 3 p.m. Friday, March 20, in the Felmley Hall of Science Annex, room 133.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Department of Geography-Geology.
Broadbent’s research applies the techniques of experimental economics to questions related to natural resources and the environment. His most recent publications analyze various alternatives to pricing the temporary access to water resources in the U.S. Southwest.
