The 2015 annual School Psychology Institute will be  from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, in the Bowling and Billiards Center next to the Bone Student Center. The Institute this year is titled “Connections between Child Maltreatment and Well-Being: Perspective from the National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being.”

The workshop is free and open to local mental health professionals, but registration is required by Friday, April 17, by calling (309) 438-5720.

The event will feature Heather Ringeisen, a co-investigator on the National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being II. She also serves as the project director of a calibration study to determine an estimate of childhood serious emotional disturbance within the National Health Interview Survey. Ringeisen is a children’s mental health services researcher with a special interest in the non-specialty mental health service systems.

Three National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) continuing education credits are available for attending. The workshop is free and open to local mental health professionals, but registration is required by Friday, April 17.
