The College of Education is launching a recurring Q&A series for current and aspiring educators! #AskEducationISU experts what’s on your mind!

Current and aspiring educators: We know there’s a lot on your mind. Sometimes we all need a fresh perspective from someone new. That is why the College of Education is launching a monthly Q&A series, and we want YOUR questions from the field!

This month, four award-winning alumni with diverse backgrounds will be fielding the inquiries. Check out their bios and submit your questions by Friday, April 10.

You can also submit your questions via Facebook and Twitter by using #AskEducationISU. Their responses will be posted on the College of Education website and social media by Monday, April 20.

The panel includes:

— Jim Fornaciari ’85 is a European history teacher at Glenbard West High School in Glenbard and the 2015 Midwest Advanced Placement Teacher of the Year.

— Matthew Lawrence ’00 is a 3rd-5th grade science teacher at Waikiki Elementary in Honolulu, Hawaii, and the 2015 Hawaii Teacher of the Year.

— Jayme Corcoran ’04, M.S.Ed. ’12, is a 6th grade resource teacher at Bloomington Junior High School, a National Board Certified Teacher, and an honored alum for the Department of Special Education.

— Amy (Brophy) Laughlin ’98 is a K-6 literacy intervention teacher at Hansen Elementary in Anaheim, California, and is the 2015 California Teacher of the Year.
