A Relay for Life event will be held at Illinois State University from 6 p.m. Friday, April 24, to 6 a.m. Saturday, April 25, on the Quad. The theme this year is Harry Potter and the Quest for a Cure.
There will be a survivor dinner, catered by Avanti’s, before the event at 5 p.m. on the Quad that is open to all survivors. To sign up for the dinner, email the Colleges Against Cancer Committee, which is sponsoring the event.
The opening ceremony will honor cancer survivors and caregivers as they kick-off the Relay by participating in the first lap. Throughout the night there will be themed laps, food from a variety of vendors, games, and other activities.
For those who wish to donate their hair to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program, there will be stylists available to cut and style hair. The minimum amount to donate for cancer survivors is 8 inches.
Relay for Life events help spread cancer awareness. The rain location for the event will be in Redbird Arena. For questions, contact email@example.com.
